Chopin - Prelude in C minor, Opus 28, #1

Frédéric François Chopin. He was born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin but adopted the French version of his name after settling in Paris. 


  • Born: March 1, 1810, near Warsaw, Poland.
  • Died: October 17, 1849, in Paris France.
  • Contributions:  Famous for composing a large body of emotional, and often dramatic and funeral virtuosic music for solo piano. His works fused technical brilliance with profound emotional depth, incorporated Polish folk idioms, and became iconic symbols of Polish national identity
